London, 1990. Steve scrubs himself neurotically prior to going to the doctor for an HIV test. Once there the doctor tells him: relax. The examination is intercut with scenes of Steve and his pal Ned watching porn films and sunbathing on the roof. Later, Steve picks up Keith, a cyclist, but the encounter is tense because Steve is too frightened of disease. Keith urges him: relax. Steve enjoys a fantasy involving Keith and a lot of body oil in one of the most sensual scenes ever committed to celluloid. When Steve returns to the doctor the result is negative; the scene is replayed and the result is positive.
